I believe I'm being discriminated against at work

I started working at my company in 2015 at the help-desk, I did a great job. But unfortunately they never offered me anything more than temporary contracts that got extended and extended while I seen other non black employees come in and move on to the next level with little experience and a short time being there. When I brought this issue up to my boss with mentioning race he said I should act like I'm entitle and we don't go by seniority. What I found out is seniority to them only works for them when they wanted to use it. At this time I knew it was time to move on, so I applied for a Business Analyst position at the same company but a different department. I ended up getting the job as a Full time employee with benefits for 2 years but I had an end date. In the beginning it was a little ruff but I eventually I caught on and I started to see my new boss wasn't micro managing me so much anymore which made me feel he trusted fully in my work. So there is 6 months left on my contract and I was told my department did not having funding to keep me or extend so I can start looking for other positions. During that time one of my co-workers decided to leave for another position which opened up a Application System Analyst position which is the same thing I was doing but for different applications that I was already familiar with. My boss asked me to apply and I did. Every meeting he mentioned how he was going through the interview process and after a few weeks I asked him if I was going to interviewed and he said he hasn't finished screening yet. A few days goes by and I check with HR to see if I was going to be interviewed for this position and she said NO. I asked why and she said it's because you don't have Bachelor's degree, so I said the position I'm in right now requires a Bachelor's degree but you guys agreed to hire me for the temporary position for 2 years but now I'm not qualified for the Perm position. I didn't understand for the last 2 years it was OK without a Bachelor's degree but now it's not. This company promotes equal opportunity and how they promote to first help advance internal first. Well they went out hired a Indian lady not from this company and who doesn't know our systems. Should I just walk away or should I look into suing? Not sure if this matters but there is only 1 black person in this department besides myself

Discrimination is very difficult to prove. You can look into( yelp.com gives reviews of lawyers) and request a free consultation. Probably best to move on and get that degree! Online school is great!

Might be time to move on. You could always sit with a lawyer but doesn't sound like anything is illegal. Just sounds like they are disrespectful and not treating you right.
