I’ve been an executive assistant for about 12 years and I lost my job a year ago. I’ve been applying and interviewing for executive assistant jobs ever since and they keep offering the positions to everyone else. What else can I do with these skills?

Sorry that you lost your job. EA's are always in demand. Look in the financial services firm like Northwestern mutual. They are always looking for assistants. If you want to work from home Boldly is a place that hires EAs. Good luck!

@Michelle Goodman Executive assistants often possess a wide range of skills that make them suitable for various roles. Some job options include office manager, project coordinator, administrative manager, operations manager, and even roles in event planning or human resources. The exact opportunities depend on the specific skills and experiences the individual has gained in their role as an executive assistant.

I understand the frustration you may be feeling, but don't give up! With your skills as an executive assistant, consider exploring opportunities in project management, office administration, or even virtual assistant roles. Additionally, consider expanding your job search to websites like Jobcase, Indeed, LinkedIn, and other job search providers to broaden your options. Networking and reaching out to professional associations in your field can also be helpful in finding new opportunities. Stay persistent and stay positive!
