I am & HAVE BEEN extremely excited, determined and dedicated to my goal of becoming a radiographer. I began the path to my degree with a local college (a top notch school). However, during my 2nd semester "Life" began to unravel and overtake everything in my life courtesy of my extremely abusive ex husband whos primary focus was to make it impossible for me to continue school and be able to become self sufficient. I am currently only 1 math credit away from my Associates Degree and then I would have been able to apply for the Radiography Program at the college, however, that paticular program only accepts a very limited number applicants annually. I've heard it is most difficult to get into and is based on a point system. Does ANYONE know if it is possible to start out with a certificate program in this field or anyone who would be hiring at an entry level that I could work my way up? Or even if there are any kind of online programs pr schools for this paticular field? I am in my 30s and do not wish to waste anymore time now that "Life" & divorce are out of my way I'd like to begin my path towards a career in this field as of yesterday!!! Please anyone with knowledge on this please post reply!!
