Frustrations with job hunting? Network

Why are so many people frustrated when they cannot find a job? I can tell you why......

It's because employers still are trying to hold out for their "superstar" or the one that fits their experience criteria. They could not care less that you are looking for a job as they have several hundred resumes (and at least 100 of them are better than yours) that pass through their online job pipeline. What makes you so different? How can a piece of paper with your experience, education and achievements be such a good speaker for you?

I do have a solution for that

The best thing for job seekers is to be salesmen / sales women. You officially working for "You, LLC" and your job is to gain an account with a company that can contribute to your needs. You see, "You, LLC" has a product that is very unique and really hard to come by....what you know (knowledge), how you use it (skill), how you understand and apply (ability) and how long you've done it well (experience). That resume that I talked about earlier, it is very useful but it cannot do the job alone. Honestly, the HR Recruiters, which are gatekeepers for the hiring managers, only look at them for about 15 seconds. If they do not have the key words like "Director of Marketing for 12 years" they will pass them over. The CEO of You, LLC knows this for a fact and therefore has to be the salesperson and get in front of the hiring manger and sell the resume as if it is the best product on Earth.

You LLC, must also have at least 10 potential clients on their list. Translated, it means to pick 10 jobs that are of interest and make sure to meet the hiring managers of each. This list should be updated as needed to make sure that you always have targets to hit.

When you think like a business, you are much more successful. The online application is now archaic as today's jobs is about "Who you know". So get to know them.

This may be a solution to a lot of problems. Employers don't want to pay for health and dental. Dental costs $34 a month with no waiting period. Health can be bought via marketplace or ACA alternatives for less than $400 per month for a family of 5. Instead of outsourcing...contact.

Hi, Leroy, I have my own "Data Quality Services, LLC" for IT and Business Consulting created in Sept 2015. I am still in the middle of defining my core business model while continuing my 2 years long IT Jobs Search (SQL Server Developer / Data & Reporting Analyst SQL/Excel/Access) where I am competing with other hundreds invisible (for me) job candidates that may be much more suitable for those positions. I am getting job interviews (phone and face-to-face). Some of those interviews went pretty well, but someone else was selected ...

Awesome and constructive feedback however, I might add that if selling your service which is you/me getting in the door is key which means getting from behind the computer and on your feet ie old school door to door sales.
