Job hours
Do companies hire people to work later hours in the afternoon? I wanna be with my kids in the morning and early afternoon.

Hi Jill:
That's a good question!
I think your best bet for working later afternoons is to try applying for a service industry job - like at a restaurant - or at a second-shift job. Warehouse workers, caretakers, CNAs, and other job roles often have job shifts that last from 3pm until 10 or 11pm.
Let me know if this helped!

Hi Jill, I think that depends on what you are looking to do. There are definitely jobs that do later work. My mom works at a hotel (is an assistant manager now) and those hours are usually 7AM-3PM, 3PM-11PM, and 11PM-7AM. If you are just looking to work part time, you can see if they would do half a shift, or something like that.
Hi Jill! I'm not a mom myself, but have seen plenty of friends' moms hold jobs where they would work only in the late afternoon! An idea would be to work at a restaurant that serves dinner! However, for most jobs you should be able to negotiate with your employer - if you explain your situation, I'm sure they will understand and allow for more flexible hours.
