Social Activism is my Full Time Job!

WARNING

Some dishonest recruiters will take advantage of you and it's just not right. Some recruiters have fake jobs, some won’t send you to great jobs because they want to waste your time with other positions where they get higher commission. Be careful!!

Hi, Tanya. You are right to warn us. As I've experienced it, the goal of the recruiting reps is to get people in for actual face-to-face interviews. I've noticed and experienced too many agency job postings that are used as bait. "That position has already been filled, but ....." Anyway, as I said, they need to meet with you face-to-face to decide if you might be good to send out for a job. When I was a recruiter, a co-worker could get fired for sending a worker(s) out for a job without an interview, reference checks and possibly testing. So, don't spend time on the phone with agency recruiters unless you want to go in person for an interview. If it is a good agency, you will never be sent out to a job without an interview. Good luck to everyone out there who needs a job . . . .

Medical Technologist at Treatment Alternatives

I have a night mare story to tell about a recruiting company here in Coral Springs, Florida that sent me to an IHS Hospital in Rosebud, South Dakota.....I drove for 4 days and stayed at motel 6s for 3 nights....was put up in a Super 8 in Valentine, South Dakota...I was trained for 3 days, worked 3 nights alone and on the following morning, my Recruiter called me to let me know they wanted to let me go because I was TOO SLOW! I got ALL of the hotel plus administrative costs for lab tests, background, etc. taken out of my first and only 2 pay checks....around $700! I wish i had talked to the Lab manager of this IHS (Indian Health Services) Hospital in Rosebud (a Charles Hotz!) before I went to find out what would be expected of me....apparently this is what they do...get you to come work there and if they don't like you, no sweat off their backs! or money out of their pockets! They just send you home and tell the Recruiting Agency to send someone else....I am a Medical Laboratory Technologist and this company that recruited me was "Health Care Connections" in Coral Springs, Florida....I am looking for work again as I said I got laid off on Dec. 7 from Treatment Alternatives in Boca Raton, Fl. after working like a dog for these people setting up their Toxicology Lab for 7.5 months....I have gotten about 100 emails and phone calls from Recruiting Companies looking to hire me for 3 month Contract Travel Positions....and I tell them all the story and say Never Again! unless the employer wants to pay for the travel expenses and no refunds allowed...too much risk...The proliferation of these Recruiting Agencies and Staffing Companies is incredible to me...there were NONE of them in the field when I first started....now they are sooo annoying....they only delay and slow down the whole process that I am able to do on my own anyway....

FBI actually estimates for every one job there are 60 scams. Maybe most of you dont know that the capitalist machine that we are so adamantly searching for jobs to support this evil capitalist machine of global racketeering. They have turned debt into income (wall street), debt released by the FED to banks is now profit, and industry over production is now profit as well. These systems set up since 1971 have eliminated the need for middle class disposable income as a form of profit to the plutocracy, and oligarchy, that runs the US govt through corporate mob rulz lobbyists. So beware and stop supporting this awful greedy hierarchy. WE HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE A BETTER DAY.
