Shaylynn, 17 is a good age to start looking for a job. You don't have any experience, that is tough employers these days are very specific in what they are looking for. Have you decided on a career choice? When you do find some type of classes the certify, or go to a two year college in the field you are interested in. I hate there is nothing else I can tell you.

I grew up in Flint and most of my family still lives in Flushing, MI.

Two suggestions for you. 1) Let your relatives and friends know that you are looking for an entry-level opportunity and are willing to work your way up. Before doing this, you need to decide what types of work you are/are not willing to do. The last thing you want is to accept a job on a referral and either do a poor job or leave abruptly. 2) Apply at several temporary agencies. This keeps you with one employer but may let you sample several different jobs to see what types of work you enjoy. Good luck.
