Salary that breaks down to below minimum wage.

I would love to work at a particular charter school. The salary offered ia little over 17k/yr. broken down, that would result in less than my state's min wage. How is that legal?

Yes. Personal research with an "Employment Agency" may have more interesting information and value. Just saying.

If its a charter school and farely new they can offer u what they desire from what I know. Y don't u try to work within the college level? It might be more pay! Green dot/ charter schools r opening up in many areas and they have to budget so the pay might be low. Its so sad how teachers r under paid, yet the students they teach become lawyers, doctors, etc... My daughter at the age of 26 is a teacher and she gets a decent wage. Thank God! She has the math of a genius ( calc 2). I wanted her to become an engineer but she said mom I want to teach kids. I'm happy about her decision , yet I feel that she should be paid WELL! Blessings to all whom teach!
