FACING EVICTION HELP ME
Eviction notice just came in the mail and I’m really starting to freak out because I don’t know what to do. I have a job, but my wife lost hers a while ago and hasn’t been able to find one since and we just can’t make ends meet. All our savings are gone and our credit is low because of medical debt. We’re down to one car because the chevy died before Christmas, and with bad credit and no money for a deposit I don’t see how we can find another apartment! If my wife has had a hard time finding a job before, how will she find one if we are homeless?? Pretty much every application requires an address. Who knows how long I can keep my job without a place to live

It is my understanding that places of employment can not discriminate against you or anyone for that matter for being homeless or anything (race, religion,Ect) .So although I can't compete answer your question I can say this that in your post you stay that you got an eviction notice VIA mail. In all instances of evictions they have to be served to you either by ddelivery (via hand delivered) or be served to you through your local police/ Sheriff officer Authority so if I was you I may look into that because it may not be legal the way that you received your eviction notice

Oscar, I am so, so sorry you are going through this right now. My biggest recommendation would be to have your wife get to as many temp agencies as possible so she has different ones looking for jobs for her. Even if they end up being 2 days here, 1 week there, it's a least something to keep her going. I wish you all the best and I hope someone else has some better advice for you.
My husband and i were both homeless before. It sucked. We both had fulltime jobs at the time, too. We had to get a PO Box to get mail. Have her look for a job with a companies and industries that most people will not do like for me it was gaming. That is how I got back into the job market. Had a terrible time finding solid and stable, permanent work in sales and retail. Casinos worked because i have some background, most people don't like the environment of a Casino, the long hours, working weekends and hoildays, etc. Helps to keep your schedule wide open too. Shows your flexible and loyal. I know what it's like. Companies were being dishonest with me about my hours and being permanent. Temporary jobs aren't always the answer. Had these to get me by, but then my gapage was too extreme for a lot of employers, and I appeared to be a flight risk. Have her seek employment with an industry or industries that are always needing help, always busy, will hire on the spot usually, big box stores are good if you do do retail, grocery stores, gas stations, other. I had to think outside the box. Literally had my face glued to my Android for weeks til I was blessed with my new job. I know how discouraging it can be. It feels like the world is coming to an end, there's no hope. It was hell, pure hell. I almost felt like giving up and saying I guess I was meant to be homeless and live life as a drifter. I felt forsaken by my Creator. I cried for days. You wanna scream or hit a wall sometimes. If you guyes need to, most libraries have computer access with internet you can use for free to apply for work, even for her to do a resume and applications. Has she tried applying for unemployment? I know it's a joke. I tried before getting work again, but there are so many people on it that the overload ends calls. I finally had to call it quits. Go for work that will promise hours and stability, opportunity for advancement, along with endless possibilities. I would suggest meeting with managers face to face, especially with businesses whom are hiring, having if you can a resume in hand, hitting every place imaginable, go for businesses that are within walking distance to your home, that way she will have a better chance at getting hired on. They will think that she has no excuse to be late or not show up since she lives so close to her job. This has helped me land and hold jobs more than once. Blessings to you both. Hope it helps. Btw, no one can fire you for being homeless. You can keep your job, like I stated earlier my husband and I did when we were in California.
