Can being fired ever be a good thing
I was just wondering if anyone has ever been fired and it ended up being good for them?? I was just let go because of downsizing (not because I sucked at my job) and I hoped that sombody had a story of how they turned losing a job into an opportunity

Hey James! I have something that is sort of like that. I was working as a temp with a company and after about 4 months, they had offered my full-time. Well, month by month, nothing was happening, but I was still under the impression I would be hired on. Then about 4 months after the offer was made, the 2 managers took me into a conference room and said that this was a "temp-job and I knew it would be ending." Crazy, right? I was pretty upset about this. Once I got out of the situation and took a couple days to decompress, I got back out there. I then realized that I would've hated life if I actually worked there permanently, so I was really grateful that everything fell through.
Depends on how long you worked there and what your expectations were... and of course your financial needs. Also depends if you are comfortable with "change" or you want to be a "lifer". A lot goes into want an Employee wants and needs and very little goes into an Employers thinking. All the Employers sees (hears) is "Chiching!."
