Who doesn’t remember the Toys ‘R’ Us kid jingle? “I don’t wanna grow up, I’m a Toys ‘R’ Us kid!” It’s up there with the Oscar Meyer weiner song...practically ingrained in our subconscious.
We all have memories of running up and down the aisles of the iconic toy store as a child – and maybe as a parent, too – brimming with excitement and joy. I have a memory of feeling astounded by the immense height of the toy shelves, in awe of how they seemed to pierce the clouds and continue upwards endlessly.
I was once a Toys ‘R’ Us kid. Were you?

I had an old girlfriend with a couple of young kids they used to love hanging out there and had a lot of fun picking out toys

Good morning how are you

I remember the Warwick RI store was haunted by the ghost of a farmer whom lived on the store property and died there also In the 1800s

There ware houses were cool they would check every toy as it was unloaded

Loved shopping they for my two brats

I still go every now and then, but not for much longer.

Godfrey would call my daughter and wish her a Happy Birthday I loved going seeing all the Barbie dolls and clothes Loved all of it

Memories!! My kids wanted everything in the store... minus the baby stuff They even wanted GEOFFREY!!! Imagine! ( not the toy, the overly large humongous GEOFFREY!!! But I will miss it for the grandkids! Feel bad for all the unemployed workers. But in reality I find Target and Walmart to have better deals on the games and toys etc.

I remember taking my god brother there years ago
Having grown up in southern California...... Both my wife and I spent many hours exploring our local TRUS..........we now find ourselves living in Wyoming......... Where sadly our children have no Toys R Us....
