overqualified

I have been unemployed since last year. I apply for jobs everyday and never hear back or i'm told i'm overqualified. I need to move out of this horrible state but can't until I find a job.

Hi Kali- that's frustrating to say the least! Have you tried using the job search function to see if there are any openings in your area? I noticed that you have experience with Epic, maybe try looking for jobs working with Epic. Also, if you haven't already, you should think about working with medical staffing agency to at least get you out onto some temp assignments. Good luck!

Hey Kali... I get that same response. I think its because when they ask you what your max is, and what the minimum salary you will work for, and you give an answer that meets their expectations, they figure they can get someone to accept a lesser salary. Keep trying, and eventually you will get what you want. We Both will... Try and Stay Positive and know that its not you.

Hi Kali! I'm so sorry that's happening to you. My best advice would be to start editing your resume so it better fits the jobs your applying to. Once you are able to land a job for a time and can save up some money, then you'll be able to make a move to a part of the country that's better for your career. Best of luck! I know you can do it.
