My job changed during the pandemic...

I was furloughed in April and I looks as though they won’t have me come back. Current I am still on furlough but have not heard anything from employer since July. I am now looking to move out of San Diego, CA simply because of cost of living.

Oklahoma has a lot of casinos with jobs. You can find cheap apartments and housing nearby Tulsa. There are at least 2-3 casinos near Tulsa. One is actually in Tulsa.

Cox communications in Phoenix Arizona where I live is $85.00. That's panoramic wi fi and enough to WFH. I got a job offer from of the local college and they mail you a laptop and train online. I applied.for anything and everything when I got laid off in September and now just accepted a temp to permanent position.

We must all take advantage of every available opportunity for success. Living without debt is not the American way, but has helped us stay in the race. That should be the first step for the average person. Live simply. Use your time wisely!

I have a "side hustle" that involved a service we all use every day. Not a get rich scheme, but a way to create some extra cash. I saved thousands a year on my electricity for over 6 years.

Just today I was looking at local online auctions. From silver coins, and $10,000 watches, to an impounded $300 girls bicycle that is currently at $20.

Mowing lawns, buying (renting?) a pressure washer and cleaning driveways, reselling stuff found on the curb in nicer neighborhoods, searching for free stuff on CL or Nextdoor to sell. Don't give up!

Wow, seems like there are a lot of us on the same sinking ship. I am at my wits end. My lease is up in Feb and I know they won't renew because you have to make a certain amount of money each year. I get $280 a week on unemployment. I'm on the "waiting list" for income based housing. Plus I have a therapy cat. Most places do not take pets. Grrrrr. Well good luck everyone, "happy" holidays.

Call Center Rep at Travis County Elections

I am in the same boat! The job I was doing was pushed back several times, I was in a call center, it could have been done from home but our company was not set up for that. Now some people are back but I have not received a call back. With the virus surging again I am looking to work from home.

I was laid off due to Covid-19. I was unable to work at home. They changed the job to at home forever going forward. The told me if I didn't buy internet they would say I quit. Internet and installing where I leave was $300. I could not afford it and they let me go.
