I recently got laid off due to the company down sizing. It was devastating to say the least, as my wife and me were looking to purchase a house, and now everything seems to be on hold.
Although i haven't had any recent feedback for any company i have applied to. I did start job searching 2 days ago, so that might be one of the reasons. Maybe i need to change the layout of my CV, whatever it is, only time will tell i guess. I am hopeful i can find something soon, as i am in urgent need to work. Any help here is greatly appreciated. I am so glad i found this website, where i cam share my thoughts to people that are either in the same situation or people that help. Have a great day everyone.
Hi Mohamad - Have you thought about talking to someone at a staffing or temp agency? They might be able to help you find things that you might not be able to otherwise. Plus, you can at least get some temp jobs going while you continue looking for something more permanent.
Mohamad: DOn't forget to follow up on your applications, too. It would be good to call the places you've already applied at today or tomorrow to make sure they received them. Then you can call again end of next week to check on the status of them.
