start date?
I signed the job offer along with other new hire documents including a non compete agreement for a job that’s set to start mid March but I’ve been invited to an interview with a competitor that might involve a better job offer it all goes well. Does the non-compete agreement begin on the sign date or the start date?

Hi Alvin,
First things first, congratulations on the new job offer! That is very exciting news. I am not a lawyer so please do not take my thoughts as being 100% true. Since you are not yet an employee of this company you would not be breaking any non-compete agreement. A lot of times you will be interviewing with companies that cre competitors but until you start it wouldn't matter. Best of luck!
