Suspicious

I took a job recently and thought my prayers had been answered. It was with an agency and I said to myself keep my options open. 16 hours later I get a call from the recruiter stating it’s not working out. I asked why and was told, due to performance issues. How could this be when I haven’t had any hands on training and never had a problem. When I asked the recruiter, all she kept saying was, that’s what they told me. I’m getting very tired of being recycled like this. I’m older now and need stability and I haven’t had that in over 6 months.

That is corporate code for one of two things or both

You do not fit there company ““culture” ( which is usually some department / unit sub-cliche)

Someone’s relative or close to that will fill your vacated slot, as identified by the hiring manager or his/her boss.

What is important is that the action to release you has nothing to do with any personal or professional elements that is you.

Consider joining a union. Not only do workers, represented by a union, have better pay and benefits, They also have representation when employers mistreat workers or fire them for no reason.
You can go to www.aflcio.org for more information.
