Loved my time at R Us (Family) Company
I LOVED working for the R Us company. My favorite part was working at Babies R Us helping new parents. They came in excited to start looking for what they needed right after finding out they were expecting. It was fun to show them all the different cool items that were out on the market to help them. The one area that I spent the most time in was our Car Seats. To many choices, features and price range to confuse anyone, especially a new parent to be. The other great advantage was watching these precious gifts from God grow. One day they were tiny babies in there Mom’s arms. In a blink of an eye they were now in school. I will miss the 32yrs that I worked for the R Us company.

You were a very valuable employee. Too bad all of these jobs are drifting away. People will begin to miss these stores & the personal touch that employees like you gave to the customers. The internet shopping cannot compare.

Toys R Us was perhaps the only retail experience I enjoyed. I also worked at Macy's several times, each worse than the last. After TRU, I found a dream job as an editor, and was there for the next decade. I continued to shop at the same TRU--I was an avid toy collector! They asked me back several times, and I would have done it had I not had the better job. Now that they're gone, the world is not the same without a proper, reasonably-priced toy store. It's all specialty collector shops with jacked-up prices, or Amazon. But you can't beat that feeling of checking to see what's new and finding something great!

Hello Linda I understand your thoughts abt R Us ,it was my firs job right out of high school.six years working at the rosemead store in ca. (No longer there for over 10yrs) I learned alot and was even Baby Gee for community events and new store openings. I met my Best friend for 40+ years who was my Manager We both talk abt those days w fond memories and I'm sure you will to when you look back over your years there, enjoy them

Jefferey was my favorite and the theme song was so catchy. I still sing it to this day. "I don't want to grow up, I want to be a Toys R Us kid." Will never forget going there many times as a child and playing with all the displayed toys. It is where my brother and I got most of our toys. Between GI Joe action figures and Barbie/Ken dolls. We had just about every toy that was in back in the 80's and early 90's. We were lucky enough to get one of the first GI Joe power wheel. Lol. So many memories and it is so sad that the companies went out of business. Heart broken.

Hi linda enness I am so sorry about the loss of a job you loved. We were all so heartbroken as well. I like many grew up with Toys R' Us! It was a special place. Are you currently working? If you loved seeing the new mom's and the babies perhaps there is a retail store that sells cribs, etc for parents you might love working for! Let me know if I can help you with anything Linda, you're in my thoughts!
Thanks. I only worked there for 4 Christmas seasons but loved it. It was so special to be a part of families' lives and to help them be happy.
