Tell It Tuesday!
Entrepreneurship is scary... However, EMPLOYMENT is a lot more scarier!
I'd rather scare myself all the to a successful brand with other successful people than walk on eggshells everyday, knowing I'm not earning enough to sustain myself, putting up with nonsense just to go somewhere I'm blatantly shown I'm not wanted and not knowing when they will decide when to cut my services.
One thing is for sure, I will not fire myself.
Be the Boss you have always wanted!
Happy #TellItTuesday

I do have my own business. I had really only been doing part-time until October when my "bill paying job" fired us all and closed its doors. Then along with looking for a new bill paying fulltime job, I continued doing my business. Now instead of having only one client once a month, I have four more clients that I do bi-weekly (twice a month). It is good, it has really helped me but it is not enough money. Not yet anyway. It's not yet that concerns me. I really need to save for a "rainy day" and I don't really have anything. My boyfriend is really wanting me to get back to the daily grind because we are spending to much time together and it is certainly causing so friction. I do have an interview next week with a company not to far from home. I enjoy having my own business. But I clean houses and that industry seems to be loaded with people who don't really want to work. They think it is an easy way out of not really working. My business has really been a lifesaver too. Since losing my job, I have needed two very expensive car repairs. If I wasn't doing the business and just getting my unemployment, I don't know what I would have done. I am going to keep doing my business and doing it well until I do get a fulltime job. Then I will move my clients around to my days off and not take in any more. Do I see this as a fail? No. Absolutely not. I just wish that I had the confidence to start this much earlier than I did. At 55 it probably doesn't make any sense for me to Clean houses full time. I don't even have a retirement fund set up. Let alone insurance for the business. I like the boss I am and I wouldn't fire me either.

A few questions:
- What type of business are you in?
- How long have you had it?
- Did it require any startup capital?
- If yes, how much? And how did you get it? Thank you!

Interesting way to phrase things Lisa R. Herron ! I like how you think : ) and look forward to reading more of your motivational posts!
A straight forward piece. The challenge of entrepreneurship has always been the doubt to believe in oneself and forget about what others have to say. Take the challenge head on and appreciate that you have created a living space for others, thus contributing to humanity's well-being.
