What do you if someone brings a kid with no car seat?

Really frustrating. I see this all the time. A parents wants to bring a young child into the car, but doesn't bring a car seat. I can't let them in the car, but then it's an awkward game of who is going to cancel this ride and have to deal with the fall out. What do you all do?

You can't let them in and tell them. Take a picture if its not against company policy.

Nicholas,

You have to continue to do the moral and common sense decision of denying rides for those that have no car seats for their children based on law/age restrictions. This protects the child(ren) and yourself. Those that cannot understand this are not your problem, so you just have to stick to your refusal judgement.

It makes you wonder...... is this the driver's responsibility to be prepared for moments like this or the parent? I would say the parent!! As a mother myself this makes me so upset! WHY on earth would you plan to get into a car, but not have the proper safety of your child in mind? As the driver, this would probably bug me as well, but I would kindly tell them that their safety and that of their child is the most important thing and unfortunately I don't have a car seat with me. They would absolutely HAVE to find another ride. Do any Lyft drivers actually carry around car seats?
