Store Associate at Aldi

I’m so confused.....

So I’m feeling a bit discouraged. I currently work for Amazon Wed-Fri overnights.....On Friday I was emailed about an interview for a Store Associate position at my local Aldi. I went to the interview, asked questions, shared a couple of laughs, Even was told I’d be a great fit for this store. Well today I received an email basically saying that they were going to consider other candidates and thanks for my time....I honestly do not know what went wrong or what I could’ve possibly missed. However, I do have streaks of red hair in my braids and I honestly thought about this before going. It was not enough time to change my hairstyle but could this potentially be something that prevented me from being hired? Oan I checked my email once again today and again I got an opportunity at another Aldi for a Cashier position but it’s a bit further...My hair is still the same way, any pointers?

It might also be something like there are two managers, and one had already filled the position and not told the one that you interviewed with. (Oops!) Or the senior manager at the store promised his daughter/nephew/niece/good friend the job, and you lost out to them. I wouldn't give yourself too hard a time on the hair. Maybe put your hair up next time if you are worried about it - but it might not be the hair at all.

Nothing went wrong and you missed nothing... Or, maybe you need to change your hairstyle.

           hmm! ...Should that really matter?...

ALSO u not being accepted is NO WAY mean u did anything wrong. The fact that the interview was upbeat is a positive. Keep in mind ALDI is one of the hardest jobs to get into. It's covered for the simple fact the pay is good plus benefits & full-time hours. So dress professional, DO NOT MENTION THE PREVIOUS ALDI INTERVIEW. It's irrelevant. Nothing is personal just pure business.

Keep current job until you get offer and papers signed etc.. as for your hair consider a tighter style such as a bun. This looks more professional. If u really have concerns about the red consider using temporary black or brown eye. If they r extensions remove them. U have options. Hang in there.

I don't think so, most retail stores have more tolerance to trendy styles than more conservative jobs like banks or offices. Was pay discussed? Was vacation time mentioned? It could have been that you had more experience or more qualifications than your interviewer. In any event, it wasn't meant for you. Move on and on your next interview try to steer clear from presenting a (What's in it for me vibe) and act more interested in the expectations of the job requirements and the goals of the company.God will lead you to the right for you, all you have to do is simply ask him. Good luck and God bless
