Price Value Happiness?
All the hype around the half a billion lottery drawing last week got me thinking… How much money is really enough for me and my family? I know this type of thinking goes against the get rich or die trying mentality that seems to be so popular today but I’ve made too many mistakes in the past trying to find the gold at the end of the rainbow. Caught up in one now, in fact, working in a high pressure sales job I have absolutely no passion or desire to be doing anymore. Maybe this my midlife crisis moment but the thought of 20 more years of this day to day grind is depressing. What does money mean to you? Would you be happy if you had just enough to cover your bills?

I don't think that money makes a person happy. I think that lack of money makes a person unhappy.

I would love to be able to pay my bills and get out of debt before I die. I have two daughters, and they will have to sale my home to pay off my bills.
Money can't buy happiness, but it does help and makes the world go around.
I am on a fixed budget, I pay my bills on time, but don't have any extra.
I would love to have money to spare, so I could share it with my children and grand children.

Yes it would make a difference to me if i had a job doing something, all i need is enough to cover my bills

Well where do I begin with The Price Value of Happiness. I follow The Rich & Famous and you know it would be nice just to live 1 day in their shoes just to see what it would be like but to tell you the truth I don't think it's all that easy or great. Maybe we need to appreciate what little we have & be grateful for it. Winning a big lottery would be nice but until you do can't honestly say what I would do just what I think I would. Sales is a TOUGH profession and can't imagine doing that as much as you do. Keep your head up & things will always get better. Happiness is Priceless ! Good Luck with your job. :)

I do not need millions but enough to pay all my bill on time and own a home. And not having to work like a dog anymore.

Hello I could not work at a job I wasn't happy in. I enjoy my job but the pay is not that great, but I am happy, and i have what I need and a little more. Find out what your passion is and get a job in that field.

Yes, I wish I had more income. Also I wish my relatives had more, so I wouldn't worry about them.

Enough to have a house and a comfortable life!!!!

It's funny, there's actually research that shows that your happiness increases as you make more money, until up to a certain point (I think it was around 100K). Then once you reach that, your happiness level actually begins dropping off as you make more. Probably because the more you make, the busier you are/have less time to enjoy with family/are under serious stress. Personally, I just want to pay my bills and have enough left over to enjoy my life and treat my family well. Having the ability to not worry is the most precious luxury of all.
Like Alice said I only need enough to buy me a trailer house and be able to take care of myself and my family. Maybe leave a nest egg and some type of business to help my family after I'm gone.
