Looking for an opportunity in Human Resources with an employment gap of 4 years
It took three years for me and i finally have my employment authorization. I have started looking for opportunities in human resources as i already have 3 years of exp as a generalist. I would have applied for more than 200 jobs. The number of responses i get is just a hand full and i have given final rounds of interviews with may be four or five. Its been almost two months now and i am slowly losing hope. Anybody here like me with an EAD and being rejected because of employment gap? I am not able to find any internship opportunities . Any help will be appreciated. Feeling miserable.

Finalizing and attaining your work permit is a major accomplishment and a step in the right direction. The number of applications sent to interviews landed ratio sounds about right. Unfortunately, it takes that many of online applications sent to get a phone screen call back and even less lead to interviews so you're doing okay there.
Don't limit yourself to only the jobs you find online. Make a short list of companies you would like to work for and personally walk in to inquire about employment opportunities. You'll be surprised how many available jobs never make it to an online job posting.
