What skills should I put on my resume to qualify for a Caregiver job?

You can put any medical or in home care you have done. I have always worked in a hospital setting as a PCT never did in home before but because of my medical background I was hired right away

Caregiver that's what we are when we care for people no matter what are our certification cna home health companion Caregiver it's the same

If you are looking to work as a care giver in memory care and assisted living facilities, you do not need a car and drivers license, or work at meal sevice and medications administrations. Most senior living places especially asssited living and memory care have a medication tech department and kitchen staff. In these communities you strictly just do care giving (showering, transferring and grooming). You just need to have a little experience working with elderly who have dementia and memory impairment, also willing to work weekends and nights. Hope this helps!

I do not drive.

Just think about if u needed someone to care for you what would be important. A lot of what we do we don't give ourselves credit enough. It's can be a very hard job but it's very rewarding.

John's advice is good. Additionally any experience you have caring for other people, parents, grandparents, even kids is helpful. If you don't have that any customer service is good. Good listener, considerate, and the more flexible your availability the better. Good luck!
