Retail /cashier/Deli clerk.
I have been showing interest in working for Safeway supermarkets. I've applied on line and also took my resume to the store and on different occasion's spoke to the manager and other departments. I never get a call back or a interview. It seams like if I don't fit their standard's it would be more professional to just email me that I don't qualifie or there not hiring?.

perhaps they think you should know what the problem. is. or perhaps they are being careful.

Hello Twila, I would recommend following up with each store by calling to check on the status of your application. For the ones you do online, I recommend doing this 1-2 days after to make sure they received it, and then 1 week later to see if you are being considered. If you stopped by in person, I would say call them in 1 week to see if you are being considered or to set up a time to meet with the manager.
