HR now and then
Just trying to figure out why HR now can't seem to contact applicants and tell them they didn't get a position but they always say we will let you now within a couple weeks . Technology in this day and age should be no problem. It's very unprofessional that an applicant took time to interview so HR should make the effort to contact them with the outcome. 20 years ago HR took pride in there work and called and let you know the outcome or a letter in a timely fashion not 4 weeks after the interview. This is not to say that all HR is unprofessional some still take pride in there work.

Hi Donald,
Bottom line is that you're right, period. If you are interviewed for a job, someone should get back to you within the time frame they have set as an expectation. That said, to make sure you aren't left hanging, during your interview you should definitely ask how quickly you will hear an answer as well as get the interviewer's name & email or phone #. That way 1.) you'll understand what timeframe you're working with and 2.) if the recruiter/HR doesn't give you an answer within that timeframe you can follow up with him/her directly.
If you have tried to contact the company but haven't received a response, it's totally OK to say something like, "I'm really interested in this position, however, I've tried to reach you a few times and haven't heard back, so I'm going to pursue other opportunities. Please contact me if you want to continue the interview process." And then move on. If they want you, they'll call.
Keep moving forward & best of luck!

I have had the same experience with Jobcase. They bother you constantly, and you never hear a thing about " Come in for an interview, "
