Feeling SoOo Discouraged
I know everyone always says.."When it's G-d's timing it'll happen." Although, Im seriously in crunch mode to get all these teaching certifications completed before the year is over and I cant seem to get past the OGET. This is the Oklahome General Education Test. The math in it keeps stumping me and keeps me from passing. Im more than frustrated and my time is about out. There are three exams to take to teach in oklahoma: OGET, OPTE, OSAT. The OGETis the only test I need to complete to recieve my teaching certification. Ive had my teaching provisional for the past 4 years. I have also recently completed my Masters of Science in Education and my Graduate certificate in Special Education. I am Really feeling discouraged and frustrated. Literally.... my job depends on it. Not to mention, my supervisor asked what my plans are for next year and has already posted my position on the school website.
Buy a book and practice! My wife just had to something like this. It was hard for her, but she stuck with it. She worked REALLY hard to get it done. Best of luck.
Don't get discouraged! Look at what your doing wrong on the test and practice
Math has never really been my strong point either. I would work really hard at it, just to get a C average! I am a strong believer that practice makes perfect!! I would also go to the library or order a Mathematical Workbook to help as a refresher. It might not be such a bad idea to invest in a math tutor. Getting that one on one attention might be just the trick needed to help you in your dilemma. More importantly, try to relax by practicing stress reducing strategies so that you will be more confident, focused, & ready to pass that Teacher's Examination Test!! You can do it!
