Fired Over False Claim
A couple of months ago I was called into HR to discuss an issue an employee had with me. She claimed that I sexually harassed her during work hours. We have security cameras running when we work just in case anything happens. They asked me if I ever did anything to her. I replied, " No the only thing I asked for was a box so I could check for scan lines and other things. That's it, I never spoke anything that was harassment." They fired me that day because they were in favor of the employees story. I've had a tough time finding another job. I guess the #MeToo movement really wants to take down men.

I think that psychosocial normal females in general know the difference between what is sexually offensive and what is sexual harassment. Sexually offensive gestures, postures and speech are not ok - and really are a form of sexual harassment that is ILLEGAL in the usual normal workplace. Men and women who work in the pornographic and nudity workplace get paid big bucks for these types of offensive gestures and postures .. The more the better!! How sexually offended and harassed you are at work depends on where you work and who you are.

I once had a boss who was approximately 5-feet tall. As a result of his shortness if you were a taller woman, when he looked directly at you he was looking at your chest. In other words if you were a taller woman, than his 5-feet stature, whenever he was talking to you and looking straight ahead, he was probably looking directly at your breasts!! This is a true story and he was FIRED FOR SEXUAL HARRASSMENT!! But the complaint said it was "something he said" LOL :)

Was there any conversation or small talk you had with that female employee where something you said could have been taken as offensive to her? Sexual harassment is very serious, and more so now, its serious to make an allegation but companies know that to falsely accuse and fire someone based only on the word of someone else can result in law suits. You had a right to know who was accusing you and exactly what was done or said. It seems like maybe there was something that could have transpired prior to you asking her for a box. You had a right to know exactly why you were being let go, and you had a right to defend this allegation. You may want to contact an Employment lawyer and see what can be done about this.

Get a lawyer and see what they recommened

I would call a lawyer. I’ve been in retail a long time, and they can’t just fire you like that. I’d demand proof. I’d demand to see video. I’m sorry that happened to you . I despise women who lie about rape and assault.
Josh, you and that employee are the only two people that know what "really happened." The #MeToo movement is to let the rest of us know "what really happened."
