I feel like I am ready for mid level jobs.
Is there anything that can help me out of the entry-level hole? I have been at a lot of entry-level positions, but I feel like I should at least have an opportunity. Granted I live in a rural town, no degree, and young. I believe that I can expand into higher levels of employment, not only because of experience but also what I learned on my downtime.

Here's what you can try. Sit down and look at the people who have the jobs that you want. What kinds of skills do they have. What qualifications? Do they have degrees? What are they in? From where? Build yourself a profile of the average candidate for the job(s) you want. Then sit down and write down all your skills. Everything you know how to do, even things you just learned on your own free time. Even things you don't think would be relevant. Now try to compare. Look specifically at strong and weak points. Skills that you feel you have to a T are great, but set them aside for now. When you writ cup your new resume, focus on the skills you have that are way above and beyond and make sure to include any skills that might add some personality to your profile. Then you want to prune down some of the experience and skills that you think may not help you to really draw out the fact that you're qualified. Since you're in a rural area, you may have to expand your search area a bit wider, but definitely get your resume lots of exposure. If you need help, go to a career center local to you or a temp agency where they can give you good resume building and formatting tips. Good luck!
Hannah - Jack is giving you pearls! Networking will be the other thing that I would suggest. 70-80% of the jobs out there are never even advertised. This is probably even truer in a small town. Create a list of the places you would like to work and the type of job you would like to go after. Then find individuals within those places doing work that you would like to be doing. Reach out to them, and try to get face time over coffee or something. As you get to know them, they will get to know you and will naturally want to help. Stay faithful in the small things and you'll eventually be blessed with greater things. - K.D.
