Temp Sprint Retail Rep at 2020 Companies With Sprint

Still job searching

So I've been getting interviews. But that's when I seem to not be able to go further than that. I'm waiting on responses from some people but still I'm job hunting. Now I might have a possibility of getting a job that involves a lot of call center type work. Answering phones and all that, and as I've thought about it, I'm burnt out on something like that. I don't mind answering phones, but in general, I don't think I can handle fast paced call center work where I'm constantly on the phone. I did 2 1/2 years as Roadside Service Rep for Allstate, and the work stressed me out and I was glad that they let me go when they did. So question, if this company calls me and offers me the job, how do I say no to the offer without coming across badly?

Ashley--Do you know precisely the kind of calls you would be receiving? Emergency Roadside concerns people who are in a state of high anxiety and are experiencing an emergency situation. Dealing with such concerns would be much more stressful for you than, for instance, working in a medical center making doctor's appointments and forwarding callers directly into a doctor's office. It might be wise to say No anyway, but at least find out first,, and good luck.

Ashley, You can simply say I certainly appreciate this opportunity with your company, however at this time I am interested in a different career path.
Also, consider if you are a different person and in a different state of mind than 2 years ago. Has your life transitioned to where now you can handle that type of environment. Look at all the varibles. Take it to God in prayer as well. He gives us what's best.

A word from a recruiter: Have you gone through you’re to do and not to do on an interview list? I have interviewed many candidates these past few years who are not coming in prepared or with the right attitude. I'm not sure what that is all about but here is a list of what to do and not to: Do not dress in jeans, flip flops, sneakers or wrinkled clothing, no matter what the position is. Don't chew gum; don’t expose your ink or your facial piercings. Make sure when you meet the interviewer you give them a firm handshake and look at them in the eyes. Let them do most of the taking until they start directing questions to you. Don’t look uninterested while they are speaking to you. Come prepared with good questions concerning the position and the company. Research the company before the interview and get a good night sleep the night before the interview. Good luck!

Work from home part time position

Hi Ashley....Don't stress yourself out about looking for work;it's a job looking for a job(HaHa). First I'd suggest that if call center or any FAST PACE environment is shown on your skills be limited. If you still choose to work in a call center environment just mention that you'd gladly consider limited positions in a call center environment. Of course it must be tastefully mentioned in your PHENOMENAL skills. I hope that this was a slightly helpful suggestion. Should you receive a phone call from them, you can gladly(sound excited), thank them for calling, and advise that you were presented with another offer. Your time will come Love, just remain patient. Some would say do not answer the phone lol. Much success to you Ashley

I agree with the previous comment and I think it's great that you identified jobs that your not interested in pursing. I think know what you don't want to do is just as important as identifying career your most suited for. Respond by saying thank you but ultimately turn down the offer.

Hi Ashley: I think you're doing the right thing - you shouldn't jump on the first job offer you get, especially if it's for a job that you know will just burn you out. It's okay to be picky! In this instance, I think the best response will be to thank them for the job offer, but tell them you won't be accepting the job role. Then wish them luck in finding the best candidate. No need to dive into specific details!
