Lowe's is closing several of their stores in 2019. This could be effecting the influx of Home Depot jobs

I applied to home depot for forklift position. I have verifiable 40 years experience operating forklifts of all kinds. Was told they were going to hire someone more qualified for the position. Could it be that they realized I am 70 yrs old.??????

My husband has worked there over 15 years - he makes a little over $14 an hour of which a huge chunk goes to health insurance that covers next to nothing. He’s a COS - customer order specialist - the only managing non- management job there. But because of corporate America’s drive to pay as little as possible & have the employee work the jobs of at least 3 people it’s a horrible horrible place to work. They don’t care about their people at all.

Depends on the job Michael Belanger . Team leads, Supervisors, and Managers earn higher than minimum wage. It also depends on an applicants work history, accomplishments, and related experience.

Besides, the minimum wage in Michigan is at 9.45 USD per hour and Glassdoor shows the average pay for an entry level Cashier at Home Depot is $10 per hour, entry level Sales Associates earn and average of $11.00 per hour.

Not a bad start for job seekers struggling to find a job and an opportunity to thrive.
