Sales Office Manager at Mission City Signs

By some miracle I am actually working - not great pay but WORKING! With not only age against me (64) and not working for over ten years (disability - still disabled but can't afford to live on it) I really never expected to find anything. (Couldn't ten years ago before disability.) Through a real fluke and seriously a miracle, I was given a chance by the NICEST couple that can actually use my help getting the company organized and back on it's feet (after some terrible employees). I'm actually doing what I love doing (bookkeeping, cleaning up and organizing). I'm actually appreciated - and SO appreciative. There is hope out there! Don't give up! (Well... as long as companies can stay open there is hope. I sure got in under the wire!) #hope

Safety Attendant at Certified Safety

Congratulations! Even with this virus crisis, there are still jobs out there. It just depends on if people want to work. Some individuals can be a Diamond in the rough, and once proven, can begin to make good money. Isn’t if funny how the rich try to oppress the poor? Always wanting something for nothing! That’s the way of the world. Again congratulations, and I know you will do very well!

Michele, praying for you. I am 65, have worked most of my life in accounting. I'm looking for work on the internet myself. Hang in there girl. God will allow us what we need.

Versatile and Talented Technical Writer and Certified Professional Resume Writer

That is absolutely wonderful, Michele...As they say, "When one door closes another one opens." I am so happy for you. Good things do happen to good people.

My background is similar to yours - same age and my husband became disabled, after a work-related injury, when he was 40. No one wants to pay SSDI to any 40-year-old!!

Fast-forward, we're both in our 60s. I earned my BS degree when I was 55, then launched my freelance writing business. I am a CPRW and technical writer, so I've been working from home for 10 years after 'attending' school, online for 5 years prior to that.

So, even with the Coronavirus, it's just another business day for me!

I wish you nothing but the best.....take care
