Hi Eric, I think that's a great idea. If there are ways you can volunteer within the industry you want your career in, what better way to gain experience! It'll show you've got initiative and that you're a hard worker. It's hard to find employees who aren't just about money.

That said, if you're looking to gain experience but don't have the money to just volunteer all the time, you could always look for a temp agency that works within that industry. That's a great way to get experience in multiple different positions and still make money.
