Temp Sprint Retail Rep at 2020 Companies With Sprint

Contacting Companies After You Apply

So I've applied to work at AT&T as a retail sales consultant. The last update I saw on the status of my application was "Your resume has been forwarded for review" and that was on Feb 5th. I'm just wondering would it be okay to stop by the store in my town and talk to the manager there and just ask how long it takes to hear something? What is the protocool really when it comes to that? I've always been told it's good to place a phone call or go visit a few days after applying but others tell me it doesn't help you out in the long run. Thoughts?

I'd definitely follow up! I think a lot of people skip this step, but it's an incredibly valuable way to get employers to see how enthusiastic you are about the job opportunity.

Go to the store and check on your application. It does not hurt ask the manager how long is the waiting process to hear back.

You should check up with them with a phone call AND in person. It makes you seem like an interested candidate.

I always prefer to follow-up in person if I can but I've learned that it's better to follow-up during downtime periods, especially if it's a retailer. I try to go 1 hour after the store opens but no later than 2pm. The managers are almost always available to talk during those hours.

Definitely check up on it !!! By phone or in person. Sometimes it takes a while for employers to even schedule interviews. ALSO in doing so, it shows ur interest in the company.
