I feel so lost

In my first year of university as an engineering major, I failed my physics class. my family was extremely disappointed in me and now I'm not sure if I can handle engineering but I don't know what else I could be good at. I am stuck taking general courses now in my second year trying to see what I will do but I feel lost and I have no help from anyone.

Hi Michael Host - almost every college/university has a study center, or a peer tutor program. Try and find it. If you can't ask your engineering professor if they know of any good tutors in the area, or if they'd be willing to open up any additional office hours for you.

I get it - the first year of university is a HUGE adjustment to being fully in control of your life. No parents or siblings to force you to go to class. But that also means you need to accept responsibility for mistakes!

It's your first year, every college professor knows what you're going through. Be kind and polite to them, and they may return that favor and help you out.

I hope this helps, Michael Host !
