Seeking to Repeat Success with YOUR favorite Non-Profit Organization

I was working as the Director of Creative Services at Marcus Advertising in San Angelo, Texas writing, shooting and editing advertising spots that aired in the local television and radio market. At the same time, I was producing, directing and promoting a live theater production at the local civic theater. A few years earlier, I was performing in an original Musical Comedy that debuted in Houston, Texas. Fortunately, it became an instant hit. Since I had been one of the original cast members, the playwrights allowed me to produce, direct and promote the hit musical comedy whenever and wherever I travelled around the country. I was invited to stage the musical comedy at the, Angelo Civic Theater as their summer musical. To make a long story short, it was a smash hit throughout the region, even drawing people from as far as, Houston and San Antonio. It also increased revenue through record ticket sales for the theater and became the event of the summer in this charming east Texas town. My success was noticed by the San Angelo Symphony Society. I was hired as the new Manager/Marketing Director of the San Angelo Symphony Society! By the time I arrived in San Angelo, Texas I had worked as a Broadcast Engineer and Master Control Operator in several commercial television stations throughout the country. I could write, shoot and edit video and audio public service announcement, I had worked closely with the people from the traffic department and understood power of ad placement. But most importantly, I knew that the FCC implemented a law that set aside a huge block of free air-time for Non-Profit organization to advertise on every, Radio, Television and Print media outlet in market. Therefore, I created a very aggressive advertising sales initiative, and media blitz. My goal was to re-introduce the San Angelo Symphony Orchestra and 80 member chorale, to east Texas even though they had been establish in 1950. I redesigned all concert season brochures, produced new video, and audio public service announcements, produced news releases, promoted all symphony special events, booked symphony society members on any, and all radio and television talk show in the market, designed and sold ads in the newly designed concert season brochures. This produced record-breaking advertising sales and my marketing plan resulted in, long lines, sold-out concerts and record-breaking revenue. To this day the San Angelo Symphony states, on their website that my efforts, ushered in a new era of marketing and promotion for the San Angelo Symphony Society.
