NEED LEGIT HOME JOB 32HRS WEEK HELP

I can commit to working from home 3pm to 8 or 9pm 4 days a week. 24.hours is all I need. I'm fast at data entry, editing, proofing and such. How can I find a legit home based job to supplement my income. Could add 4 more hours on Friday s few on weekend probably 32hours a week. Does that sound Good? I heard I can do medical transcription being paid by the document. Is that true? I'm so in if is. Do I have to prove medical training? Should be data entry only. I could do 6 docs a day. Would that be worth something and like how much? ALL ADVISE IS VERY WELCOME THANK YOU, MY PEEPS

Hi, Terri. Anthony has given you a solid lead and advice.

I used to work from home as a freelancer using the site UpWork (formerly Elance) in order to make ends meet during a period of unemployment. They have plenty of data entry, editing, and proofreading projects available. If you're looking for something to start immediately, all you need to do is create a profile and take some aptitude tests to showcase your skills. After that, you can browse a feed of projects and bid on those you'd like to work for.

You also might want to check out Rev. I haven't worked for them before, so I can't comment on their business model, but they offer transcription, captioning, subtitling and other services. On their site they claim to pay $1 per minute, so if you're transcribing a 60 minute audio file, that's 60 bucks for you!

I would encourage you to keep posting new conversations when you need feedback or support, but would advise against posting the same conversation multiple times. I understand your frustration, however please respect the community by posting each message only once. Thanks!

This is just a hunch, but I am guessing you are looking for a legit home job.

My friend and my mother had both worked for Medikin, doing transcription. It is not by document but paid by audio hour. That means, despite how many hours you spend working on transcribing audio to text, you will only be paid for the length of the audio file.

Accuracy and grammar are very important when transcribing as you are often working on creating legal documentation and you won't be paid if your transcription is riddled with grammatical and typographical errors.

I only point this out because your post here isn't grammatically sound. That's not a dig, and I NEVER point out people's spelling and grammar on this site, I just wanted you to know that if your post here is your professional best, transcription might not be your bag.

For medical transcription you would need familiarity with medical terminology and should know how to spell the names of medicines, conditions, and such. They do have other types of transcription though including legal interviews (depositions).

Additionally, you will need to buy transcription software, they will tell you what to use, and a foot pedal to plug into your computer to pause, rewind, and forward the recordings without having to stop typing to use your mouse.

I am not sure if Medikin has jobs available at the moment, they never post them to their website. You can email them at careers@medikin.com.. To learn more about them, visit their rather lackluster site at www.medikin.com

Paydays are monthly.

Maybe our fellow Jobcasers can provide info on more transcription companies.

I hope that helps!
