Why am i being ignored?
I have 15 Years training and development experience with an MBA to boot. Yet, I am unemployed and can't find a job. I worked for Deloitte here in Chicago for 2 months. I would love to work for them permanently. I have filled out several resumes. How do I get in touch with a recruiter?

am there also. currently am a temp w/ Wells Fargo. best to get your resume reviewed for key-words. also network in your field and out of. I am retooling for my CPA. get a certification for your field. That may open some doors.

I am sorry that this is happening to you. I am in a very similar boat. I often hear "over qualified" as a response. A lot of times salary and budget make thing complicated. I received feedback that I need to simplify my resume to avoid confusion with potential employers.

You are blessed to be working with Deloitte, just continue with your due diligence and let your work speaks for you. I am sure with some patience this will work out for you. There are others who would like to be in your shoes for example me. I have a CPA and works in a warehouse, so thank God for your blessings.

15 years as a training and developer experience, is not as commanding as it once was. I have over 20 years experience as a Budget Finance Director for Government. I have assisted in the transition from legacy accounting systems to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle and People soft I would have to say the skill set of 20, 15 even ten years ago has not kept pace with technology advancement sin the field. I would say seek out an opportunity that challenges you to learn a new skill.

Hello Sharon, you can use the company tap at the top of the page to search for the Deloitte office in Chicago. Select the address and you'll see the location manager on the company page. Another option is to send a message via the 'Contact Us' link on their website. Hope this helps.
Sharon, the key is to get to the decision maker. This is the manager who has the authority to hire you. Have you kept in touch with any of your colleagues? Or your past manager? Do you use Linked In as a way to build connections? Don't lose faith! The process may be slow but if you keep at it and you are systematic in your search, you will find a job. I know it feels like you are being ignored but the search process sometimes ebbs and flows. I have been there myself. May I also suggest you seek a job search group in your area? The support from others going through a search is invaluable and a like minded team helps provide accountability.
