It happened.
Last week I posted that my employer did not pay me for several days after payday. Today I came in at my normal 9:30 am and planned to work until 8 pm. My normal shift. At 3 pm today I took my second break (I work 10-hour shifts) took a walk and when I got back to the door to tag in, I was unable to get in. In a few moments, there were several people at the door. I told everyone to use their badge. No one was able to get in. A supervisor happens to be coming up to the door and he tried. Then he tried to call inside. But nothing. Finally, someone was coming out and suggested that we not bother to come in because we all got fired. Part of me wanted to believe that perhaps she was kidding. But rumors of them closing those doors had been going on probably since before I started working there almost 2 1/2 years ago. We all walked in to find that apparently, they had already made the announcement. It was complete chaos and it was true. ServiCom was closing its doors. Both sites. The feeling is bittersweet. I was grateful but hated working there. I had a purpose. I packed up my desk and my locker and just started hugging on all these amazing people that the Lord put in my life, even if for just a short time. I felt so much love. Because we had a common ground. Probably for the first time ever. Sure. Most of us disliked working there but most of them lived in the community where we worked. I did not. But for a moment we had something in common. I know that the Lord has a plan for me. For all of us. I am going to be alright. I wasn't fired. That is a good thing. It is a layoff. With no means of coming back. I have my cleaning business and I will be able to get unemployment. Please pray that it all goes to God's plan for me. Thanks so much.

that is awful

My sister is in the same position at the pizza place in Goldendale Washington, they keep her tips from the credit cards and if the money is on by the cash register they take her cash, they are crooked. Nobody stays there for very long they take so much advantage of my sister it hurts, I wish somebody would do something with that pizza place in Goldendale Washington.

Prayers,

Robin – I know there's a "next great adventure" out there for you. Hang in there, keep the faith – you've got the power to make it happen. And remember we're in your corner. :)

Dear Robin Wait: Your Life Is About To Change! I just stumbled across your amazing story about something, someone and somebody. However, your most power words and focus was about faith, and that is your SOMEHOW!
From my experience it's obvious to me that you are about to TURN YOUR BROKEN STONES, INTO YOUR STEPPING STONES and prepare for a new page in the book of life.
Start "walking by faith, not by sight" and allow everything else to fall-in-place!
I Believe You Can...!

Hi Robin, it was great working with you at Servicom, you always had a friendly demeanor and smile. I'm very happy to hear that you found another job as well..

UPDATE!! I GOT A JOB! Probably the shortest time I have ever been unemployed. I just kept God in my focus and mind always. I will be working for Ebates!! It is very very close to home. I don't know how I will adjust to that. Only about a $1.50 more per hour, but they cater lunch every day and since the commute is so short, win-win. Thanks for all your prayers, everyone!!

In my prayers. God knows what He has planned for you. Even a sparrow that falls to the ground is not missed by His eye. He wants the best for you. Father I pray that You would give Robin direction and peace meeting their needs as You walk with them through transitions and in Your perfect timing bless them financially with a new job that is Your making In Jesus Name.

Do you have a copy of your timesheet to show that you were not paid? If you do you have to take it to Arizona State Attorney General so you can file for unpaid wages, vacation, 401k etc. This company has to pay you before they file bankruptcy. If I were in your shoes the sooner you file your complaint in person the better.
