Kindred Health recruiter might have a job opportunity for me in direct care but I need an office job!
I worked as a nurse for many years but decided to give it up after I started developing own serious health issues as a result of years of caregiver stress working in understaffed, financially irresponsible, and grossly mis-managed health care centers. I’ve tried looking into other career this year but no one has been willing to consider me as a serious potential candidate due to my age and inexperience. I received a call from a recruiter at Kindred Healthcare who found my resume online who asked me to meet with her to discuss my experience and career expectations. I looked at the website and found both administrative or office support jobs and direct care. I’m sure she’s going to recruit me for nursing again but how can I need to figure out how to tell her I’m more interested in the office support roles instead of direct care without offering my previous health as an excuse. Any tips before my interview?

Hi Tara. I'm also a RN who decided to leave the clinical area. I took a medical coding class and got a job working from home doing Risk Adjustment Medical Chart Reviews. Maybe you could think along those lines if the interview does not work out. Good luck.

Hi Tara, Be open about what you kind of a position you want in order to avoid another bad woking situation. Good Luck!

Hello Tara, So glad you could be a part of our Jobcase community! I think in this situation you will want to be up front about what you are looking for. If those aren't the positions she is looking to fill, then both of you know where things will be going for you.
Honesty always the best policy, say it just like you just wrote.
