Finally got a job!
After searching, applying, interviewing and getting rejection emails for a year and a half, I finally got a job offer and started Monday. The company I previously worked for shut down the summer of 2016. I was getting discouraged and started doubting if I would ever find a job at 50 in Sales. It Finally happened!! I received the job offer after 4 interviews. God opened the door that was meant for me. Keep praying and have faith. Don't get discouraged and try not to take rejections personally. You will find a hiring manager that appreciates all of your experience and they will be lucky to have you!
Thank you for the encouraging write up. I am in the same cycle, age and thought. I know God has a door open for me. When you believe, asked and receive in his time. It’s always just in time. I’m waiting to hear back now from a verbal offer.

You are correct experience is experience no matter what
I just moved to Savannah and although I have a lot of experience in healthcare, finance and administrative work I am having a hard time getting a job. I applied for a medical billing position with a temporary agency and was told that because it was five years ago my experience was too old and she couldn't sell me to them as a candidate. I thought experience was experience no matter when you did it. I will continue to try because I have to and I am used to working. I hope it doesn't take too long!!!
Congratulations!! Just because of your age don't accept the limits that society tries to put on you! Keep pressing toward the mark and don't stop!! I will be starting my new job on Monday and I will be 52 this year! We are seasoned not old!!
