I sucked!!!

A few months back I went to a job fair and I blew it. I barely gave out any of my resumes or talk to anyone because I was really really nervous. The times I did talk I went too damn fast. I looked like an idiot I am sure. I need some serious help before this next job fair. What should I do?? Please help!!!

you need to relax and calm down and practice, you need to understand yourself first. try to see a counselor about this.

Jesse: You learned many things by this experience. We've all been through similar experiences. Next time, just relax, be your wonderful self, slow down and smile. Let you personality show. Don't be so down on yourself. There is the right job waiting for you. Good luck!

How do you get to Btoadway? You practice. Get a full size mirror at Dollar General amd a cheap video camera at Big Lots and then practice your presentations. Also make up a bunch of questions like where do you find youself in 5 years. Always look in the eyes and practice, practice and practice

Jesse, when interviewing this is your time to sell yourself to a potential employer the trick to a positive interview is to own it believe in yourself and how much you want this particular job and most importantly never fear a potential employer they need you. If you have a friend or coworker that is willing to help set up a mock interview with this person and cover the areas that you find yourself intimidated by and strive to overcome your fear and you will own that interview. Good luck

Sorry about how you felt your experience went at the job fair. May God grant you peace of mind and assurance that He will provide an open door of opportunity just for you.

In your quiet time, and if you have none, find some time to reflect on past mistakes. Keep applying to jobs and putting your resume out there. Go to the job fairs or interviews and breath. Pray for the peace of mind and Calm needed to make it thru....He/She DOES answer prayers!! Then, do whatever needs to be done. Write down self instructions and questions to ask the recruiter. GOD Bless!

Quit making it life or death. Its supposed to be informal, a chance to meet perspective employees. Take your resumes references and TALK to the recruiters where you want to work. Very few hire on the spot so be well dressed and ready to express your experience and how you could benefit the company.
