Felons

I have a question about not paying my fines. It has been quite hard to keep a stable job so I haven't been able to pay my fines. My question is if I haven't paid my fine and it's been after the 7 years can employers still see that on my background?

Oh I'm sure bro I'm sorry this is happening to you but just like everyone else you need to pay your fines or pay attention to what you're doing when you're driving or where you park or whatever this should be a lesson you need to talk to your attorney general and figure it out with him sorry bro

I believe the statute of limitations is seven (7) years on private debts; however, there is no statute of limitations on Government debts such as fines, student loans, etc. You can raise your credit score, I believe, by contacting whoever you owe the fine to, ie courts, etc, and making arrangements to make at lease a minimum, say $5 a month, "good faith" payment. Hope this helps you.

Drew i am an exfelon was released in 2006 from doong a 10yr bit. As i said before try to go to temporary companies that pay by the day. Most pay $7.50 + an hour. I presently work for labor finders making $16 an hr. I have been where you are now so i speak from experience. I am almost done paying my fines, got my license back though if i miss a payment they get suspended again. I have gone from living in a tent with wife and 2 dogs to having a car, living in a 4 bdrm house. All just by working for a temporary company. Just dont look down on yourself or use being a convicted felon as a pity . pick your spirits up and get out and search for a job even if its a restaraunt job but you can be the only one to change your life for the better. Now go do that.

If it's a felony yes. Unless you pay to have it removed. Even then it would depend on the nature of the crime

Well life is most definitely a challenge and I believe all people are trying to survive by whatever means....our best isn't always perceived by others no matter how hard we try.....don't let that be an issue;but you really need to clear your record and don't hesitate for solutions....if you have struggle to this point in time,it seems you've seeking for corrections...certainly don't look for all to give you the heads-up;just do what you know you have to do so you can eventually enjoy your life...HUH!

We all are trying to survive sir, but I am very sure that you can at least make phone calls and make arrangements, yes they will ask for a certain amount, and maybe you cannot afford that amount but not making the effort is worst. The fines will only accumulate with interest believe or not they are including interest now in some states. Calling them to arrange does not hurt you actually helps your case because at least you are making the effort. Good luck.

Mr.Cook, I work as a Professional Certified Substance Abuse Counselor working with the Prison population here in California . So No, sympathy for you and your messed up situation. You say you are not looking for any sympathy ? When you have had 9 years to at least call and make arrangements for payments and refuse to do So. Now, here is a very difficult question for you, what in the hell do you want your county to do with you. You say you live from check to check? Well, if you were not out there destroying other hard working peoples lives then maybe you would have gotten some kind of training in a trade skill so you did not have to go down the road you chose. Please miss us with that survival stuff.Welcome to the real world. How come you did not try to pay off your fines by doing community work program?Maybe because that title has the word WORK in it.You can run but, you could never hide remember that. Pay your fines and then start your life wwithout looking over your shoulder.Fines and Taxes don't go away on their own.Good Luck Sweet Cheeks

Well, I have two Great things for you to think about? 1. They aare serving Green egg's and Ham in the morning. 2. Don't pack a lunch the next time you go to work.Someone who askes a question like that should be put in jail. Pay your dam fines. I am a tax payer and really hate carrying your bill every month you decide to invade paying your due's. When you go to jail, did you want to take your little blue teddy bear with you also so you could sleep at night. Don't worry Bubba won't mind you making all of that noise screeming, because you don't want to pay and refuse to make a payment arrangement. You did the crime now pay the fine.Good Luck Sweet Cheeks
