Confused
Why r these companies doing this? Iam scared to apply for this job in the school system. Iam 63 healthy & wanna work.

I'm happy you are excited to stay working. I put in 32 years as a Federal Agent. At 59 I retired. With full retirement. I do still work. I substitute teach.

Hello Patricia, you need to give us more information. What are the companies doing? Do you mean age discrimination? Don't let that stop you. If there is a position you are interested in go ahead and apply. Don't ever let your age stop you from doing what you want. You stated you are healthy and have a strong work ethic. Make sure you put that enthusiasm into your resume. You are experienced, professional, hard working, excellent attendance record, willing to learn new things, energetic, etc. Check out AARP and job hunting skills. They have a lot of information on resumes, interviewing and starting a new career in your senior years. Good Luck.

Apply! No matter what! #WHATEVER IT TAKES#

I am 61 and I have been hire to a high school teacher position for the next school year!

Apply to the school system job. They are looking for highly qualified teachers . Your age has nothing to do with your skills.

Yes witj legal paoers to work in hors that the law premits

Would you hire 16 yrs old

Go directly to the school site if you want to work for them. The are many companies that are sub contracting teachers, no benefits, no retirement benefits, nothing but a crappy hourly wage. Look into the actually school districts, go to their site and apply there.

What are you applying for and are you qualified. Do you have experience. At 63 retire
It might be a good case for limiting ones resume to around ten years. Give less detail in experience that doesn't pertain to the job and focus on experience that ties with the job. The cover letter is key here....Using a good catch phrase to grab their attention. Keep it brief. Focus in your strengths as this will improve your confidence during an interview.
