What should i do? Quit or?

Ok. I've been with taco cabanna for almost a month now. My friend got me hired on or helped me get hired on. Now I'm being faced with a decision. They got a new manager over there at taco cabana almost right around the area I got hired on. It was great I got to see my friend and everything. But apperently they cut my hrs according to my understanding from what the manager told my friend that "im not smiling enough" and stuff like that. I'm like really?! They cut mine to 8 hrs. When I'm suppose to be working at least 15-25 hrs. Is this how a second job goes? I mean, what are y'alls opinion? My friend also told me that the manager said talk to him or the general manager about it. I don't know what to do. I asked for more hrs too and nope they ignored it. So what do I do?

I believe you should smile more and also talk to the manager.we to often want to quit first.Remember it's a second job.Now if you feel it's more than that, then find out..But quitting isn't a option.

Thanks for everyone that commented but I’m quitting the job anyways! It’s just to much stress handling two jobs!

Put your request in writing to make it more professional. Type it. Keep a record of when you asked for more hours, and you may have to take a second job.

I would speak to the District manager or someone in human resources. Sometimes u have to go to a higher level to get results.
