Attitude
A former boss taught me that the right attitude gets you 100% of the way there. Just add up the letters by their order in the alphabet! A(1)-T(20)-T(20)-I(9)-T(20)-U(21)-D(4)-E(5) = 100!

Yes, Jeanette, attitude is very important, however, if any of your coworkers, or your boss for that matter, treats you with disrespect while you remain in a pleasant attitude, that is wrong. If you are treated unjustly, you must in a diplomatic way let them know that you refuse to be verbally treated that way. Let them know that there is a positive way to address every situation. Be firm but pleasant in letting them know that you are a conscientious worker and will do what it takes (professionally) to get the job done. DO NOT be a door mat for anyone, including your boss.

I can work circles around most. One employee has program called "you suck, so get better" focuses are trashing self esteem and all good intentions. I don't know how there's no laws about such abuse, even ruining someone's ability to feed them self and family...as I've experienced in many places. The greedy bastards don't care who they hurt

i just busted out the calculator to check the math and it's right on, 100%. Man that's DEEP!!

If it were only that simple.

Given some feedback from respondents, I'll add another mantra:
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the power to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I agree they don't care I've seen some co-workers with bad attitude and really go to work for a check and they are still their

Sorry, but employers don't care about fair, they care about themselves
Personally, I thank you for that!!! I know that it can be extremely difficult and trying. I believe part of it comes from people having a lackluster attitude. I also understand what some of our job case community is saying, I've experienced both sides of the coin and I must say that the better attitude I have, and no matter what's going on around me, better my attitude, the better I can make myself feel.
