Advancing to Management

I've been at a clerical level in my accounting field for over 20 years. I'm now 47 and want to get very aggressive at stepping it up to enter into an entry level management position. Does anyone have any advice on how to find entry level management positions? Most companies (people) want experience, and I don't have any college under my belt (nor can I afford it). Any advice would be great!

Rely on your experience (work and life). Have all of your ducks lined up in a row, by answering all questions necessary for the management position. Take a on-line accounting managers course. Your experience and enthusiasm will make them rethink the college issue. Just be sharp and on top of your game.
