My license got suspended
Story time. I was driving for a mega carrier (rhymes with Qwift) last January and ended up getting a ticket for going on the parkway and not letting the Staties know. I had to get to my delivery to the next exit and did not learn this until the officer was writing a ticket.. No big deal, the company said they would cover the ticket. Except I had to stop driving OTR for them shortly afterward to take care of a family member, and was out for a good 5 months. Of course, apparently they forgot to pay the ticket since I stopped working for them. I missed the letter letting me know that, but did get one saying that my license was suspended because of that.
I can clear it up easy enough and pay some fees for it, but is this going to affect me getting some local dry van work? I don’t have much experience in anything else but retail and I do NOT want to back to dealing with angry Karens and the like. What do I do? Are local companies not gonna give me a chance?
I would go back to the company and tell them thanks.Pay the ticket and explain the circumstance on your next job and hope for the best

It should not affect you. Be straight up with them. Drift has a way of screwing things up often. Everyone knows it.
it shouldn't affect you, just be honest on your applications and tell them up front what happened.

I had my license suspended for 7 months, plus thousands of dollars of fines that my mother had to pay since I cannot find a job with a criminal record to to horrible fights with my nasty neighbor. Taxis were expensive, but I had the luxury of buses since I live in the suburbs close to the cities in NJ. God cares for us, and I and my mother are Christians. My mother had to take more money out of our home equity loan, since we are poor. But, she does have stock, mostly in Verizon which, unlike other companies, is always in the green. How did God bless us? Well, the 7 months went quickly and allowed me time to start my own business in electronics repair. Mom make up the money and more through her Verizon stock. Do not let life circunstances depress you. Do not define them as negative, but as positive, such as a life challenge to conquer. Trust in the Lord, and he will not only see you through what you think are bad circumstances, but bless you if you deal with them, and they do not last forever. There are plenty of jobs out there that do not require driving. God says in the Bible, "Those who don't work, will not eat. But we live in a country that has many social programs. I am collecting disability and food stamps, plus great medical insurance, because God has blessed us with living in the U.S.A. I and my mother are examples of God's grace and love. He will see you through. Just trust in Him. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior. He will forgive you of all of your sins. This means that after you die from the very short duration that you are down here on Earth, you will inherit eternal bliss by being pardoned of your sins on judgment day and entering into Heaven for ever more. So, work hard and keep God first place in your life and He will take care of you while you are down here on Earth. Has he not done so so far.

Pay the ticket and the fees and explain yourself during a interview. Most of the time they are understanding and will give you the time of day. Besides, mistakes like this aren't rare. I had that happen to me before. Sucked at first, but it is what it is. Good luck.

Try to pay the tickets if you can . Then try to go from there and check around to see about another job . Just ask Jesus for his help and beleave in him for I was just about in the same area and I prayed to him and ask for his help and guest what things started changing for me ,for with him I got my for phsycial. taking care of and because my CDL was suspend for not getting my DOT had run and I was off from work too. But e verything is fine now thanks to the Lord up above .So yes brother go for it , try to get your lic . tacking care ,of that, s want you want .
