Internship at Doctor Yasmin Khan

Certified medical assistant

I just graduated from a training institute for medical. I have no hands experience the training didn't have internship program. I'm not really good at typing but my passion is in health care .I'be been trying to look for job but everybody wants training in the office or in a medical office, before you get a job with them how do you get the trading without internship program.

Go to temp agencies, go to onestop career center maybe they will help. I got into I.T. without any experience so I know you can do it too. Make sure you structure your resume so that it stands out.

Tammy....back up a second...... first you are an MA..... Don't ever do CNA stuff because that's not within your SCOPE OF PRACTICE!!! I want you to start applying for positions in Occupational Medical, Family Medicine, and OB/GYN...... Now drawing blood might be your issue but most of my class mates and me started in thoes areas and never looked back. CNA be hang.... Why would you take a lower position. That's like a doctor with a full MD driving Uber or Lyft....... Come on and tuffen up...... Apply, apply, and APPLY AGAIN....... You'll get there..... I've never spent one day as a volunteer for anything in medical care.... Even as a paramedic person I went from classroom to ambulance driver to patient care attendant then to crew chief. You're an MA...... Act like it....

Tammy, most of the comments are correct volunteering is a good option. Another option is to work in a nursing home or hospice. Many people feel uncomfortable working in these environments; but you'll get some of the best hands on training as well as great tips of the trade. In Corpsman school, most of us went to Navy retirement homes as our internship programs. It was an eye opening experience, but great training if you keep an open mind.

You best route is to apply to a temp agency for hands on experience. If you would to volunteer or get in contact with physician who can help you, I would suggest going online and research hospitals near your area. Then find the head of the department your interested in and send out emails.
