You and me both! Though I have one, they take advantage of me. I took the job because I was unemployed for over 5 years. The hours are Saturday & Sunday 7a - 7p, and Monday & Tuesday 10:30a - 7p. After 9 months, I asked to get my hours changed and was told, yes because they didn't want anyone to get burnt out working weekends. I also asked if I could work Monday - Thur, 10 hours each day, and was told they'll check on it for me.

I was also told they were hiring new people (11 total) and not ONE of them was told they would have to work a weekend shift , which means I'm still STUCK on this shift. The next days after asking for the mon-thur shift, a notice to all employees came out saying everyone was going to be working Monday through Fridays with set shifts, no more odd hours. So what does that mean to me, basically F U, your stuck on your shift.

When I keep asking about the change at our quarterly meeting, I'm told oh we forget about you because no one complains about your work and the office runs smoothly on the weekend, blah, blah, blah but we promise you won't be working every weekend by the end of the year (which means I'll still be working weekends

To top it off, they just fired the other person that worked with me on the weekend, and FINALLY brought on 2 people to work with me, 1 for Saturday and the other for Sunday. Of course I have to train them, and was told that will be a SIX month process, when I was thrown into the shift after 3 months of training.

I could add more, but that's another aggrevating subject!!!
