Deeg Job Seeker

Is Magic Post of Newark, New Jersey a legitimate company? They want me to sign a contract and it sounds too good to be true. I googled the company and was unable to find them; I couldn't find them when I went to Better Business Bureau. What does anyone know about MAGIC POST. Thank you ,

Well Dee, I haven't found any Alan Osborne on LinkedIn even located in Newark, NJ. Nobody by that name has their company listed as Magic Post, and there is still no more information. If I were you I'd pass on this opportunity because I think your safety is the most important thing.

Hi Dee! I just googled for that myself and couldn't find ANYTHING, like not even one thing! That's pretty rare and a big red flag. Do you have the names of any contacts at that company, and have you tried looking for them on LinkedIn or anywhere similar? Even finding them on Facebook could help corroborate things. Unfortunately this does seem like a "too-good-to-be-true/probably-is" type situation but I would research more first.

Also what does the contract do? Does it allow them any access to any of your accounts? Are you having to pay anything to start at this company? Those would be major red flags as well.

What's the position they want to contract you for? That might also help figure out whether or not this is a good opportunity.

Without more information, unfortunately, I'd say better safe than sorry and not sign the contract. That's my personal opinion anyway. Let me know if I can help further!
